ARCH Board Officially Welcomes Annie Harvey as ED

ARCH Welcomes New Executive Director

ROANOKE, VA (June 16, 2021) – The ARCH Board of Directors has officially appointed Annie Harvey as the executive director after she filled the role as interim starting in February 2021. Although the initial contract was temporary, Harvey was determined to make progress for ARCH no matter the ultimate length of her tenure.

“I have felt inspired to work with the ARCH team since my first day,” said Harvey. “I’m honored to be appointed in a permanent capacity. The future is bright!”

Harvey comes to ARCH with 20 years of experience in leadership with 10 of those being within non-profits including philanthropy director at Planned Parenthood and executive director at Mental Health America of Roanoke Valley. Board president, Tori Williams, said Harvey has demonstrated an impressive dedication during her tenure as interim director and believes ARCH is well positioned to continue its critical work under her guidance.

“We have enjoyed getting to know Annie during her interim appointment,” said Williams. “Her skills and non-profit leadership experience will continue to guide our dedicated staff towards achieving ARCH’s mission of uplifting the most vulnerable members of our community.”

Since starting in February, Harvey has been busy. The organization has undergone additional leadership change over, hired much needed support staff,  transitioned ARCH’s Trust House, a homeless shelter, from a Covid 19 positive shelter back into serving the general homeless population, and begun work on expansion plans.

“We look forward to a fresh start as we finalize this fiscal year. We would like to thank our donors, volunteers and employees for their continued support through the pandemic and ARCH’s much needed transformation,” said Harvey.
