Storage Squad

Our Storage Squad helps keep our In-Kind donation program up and running. They help with picking up items from donors, organizing and storing the inventory, distributing the needed items to clients, and record keeping.

Handy Helpers

Our Handy Helpers are volunteers who participate in facility and yard work at both our Trust House and Bethany Hall facilities, which are both over 100 year-old houses located in the historical Old Southwest neighborhood of Roanoke. Handy work includes activities such as: mulching, pulling weeds, planting flowers, painting, organizing storage items, and more.

Life Savers

Our Life Savers provide realistic outlines for life skills development and/ or lead small classes to teach various life skills with our clients at our Trust House and Bethany Hall facilities. This volunteer experience provides one-on-one interaction with our clients, and are usually held in the evening during weekdays.

Dream Team

Our Event Volunteers are individuals who volunteer their time to assist our staff and Board during any various event that ARCH may host or participate in during fundraising efforts. See the “News & Events” tab on the homepage to view upcoming ARCH events.

Cutie-Pie Cuddler

Our Cutie-pie Cuddlers are a group of volunteers at Bethany Hall who cuddle and care for our clients’ babies while they participate in therapeutic recovery groups. These volunteers are usually needed during daytime weekday hours and are required to have a full background check and vaccinations.

Recovery Sponsor

Recovery Sponsors must have a minimum of 2 years of continuous recovery from the disease of addiction and be actively involved in a 12 step recovery programs such as AA, NA, or Celebrate Recovery. Agreeing to be a Recovery Sponsor is a big commitment that requires a lot of time, energy, and support. ARCH is aware that the sponsorship relationship is a very important part of creating a good foundation for recovery and asks that this be a long-term commitment for sponsorship.
