Recovery Sponsors

Recovery Sponsors must have a minimum of 2 years of continuous recovery from the disease of addiction and be actively involved in a 12 step recovery programs such as AA, NA, or Celebrate Recovery. Recovery Sponsors may only sponsor one ARCH client from our residential or housing programs at a time. This in no way limits sponsorship outside of our programs. We encourage Recovery Sponsors to take the ARCH client to appropriate 12 step meetings and recovery activates as well as meet one on one in house for direct sponsorship weekly. All in's and out's must be submitted in writing in advance by the ARCH client and once approved will not be revoked accept under extreme circumstance so that the relationship between the ARCH client and Recovery Sponsor will be respected and without interruption. Appropriate application must be completed by Recovery Sponsors, guidelines read and signed. A brief meeting with staff may be required. Anonymity will be respected and all names and information held in confidence. ARCH is aware that the sponsorship relationship is a very important part of creating a good foundation for recovery and will work diligently to support it once ARCH administration has approved Volunteer Recovery Sponsor's application
